Barre is the new way to work out, finishing every class with deep and well-deserved stretch. Class difficulty- Intermediate/Advanced.
Barre Fitness is a fantastic workout that combines Ballet, Yoga and Pilates and is a great all-round conditioning class. Our expert teachers will guide you through a warm up then move onto some lower body strengthening, upper body work, core strengthening and finally, a well-deserved cool down and stretch. This class is brilliant to not only strengthen, but also stretch the muscles creating long, lean lines and sculpting the body.
The class is suitable for all abilities as exercises can be easily adapted to suit your individual needs. The environment is friendly and relaxed and we welcome those with experience and complete novices! No dance experience is needed, although our brilliant teachers will have you moving like a dancer in no time! Pilates aims to strengthen the body in an even way, with particular emphasis on core strength to improve general fitness and wellbeing.
Pilates is a method of exercise and physical movement designed to stretch, strengthen, and balance the body. Our Pilates classes bring attention to the importance of deep core support, pelvic alignment and full ROM (range of movement) allowing for fluid and controlled movement throughout the body.
Our expert teacher, Lizzie Martin, is a future fit level 4 qualified Pilates instructor and level 3 personal trainer who is also working towards CPD qualifications in lower back care and pre and post-natal Pilates. If you are looking for a class to help with alignment, flexibility, strength and coordination of the body then look no further! Suitable for all abilities as exercises can be adjusted to suit your individual needs.
April is a classically and technically trained performer from Australia. She started dancing from the young age of 3 training in Jazz, Tap, Ballet and Gymnastics.
Lizzie graduated from Bird College with a diploma in Musical Theatre in 2013 and further gained a BA Hons from Middlesex University. As a graduate she went on to performed in companies around the UK.
Sam, the founder of BowersBoost, believes that wellness comes from the inside out and has a holistic approach to living and health. She teaches Kundalini yoga, children’s yoga and Kundadance.
Jamie is a Personal Trainer with a focus on strength development and optimisation of movement. Within MPDA more specifically, his classes will aim to develop the strength of the dancers.
