Ruth started her at training the Jackie Palmer Stage School in High Wycombe in IDTA Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Modern and LAMDA Acting. Ruth was signed with the agency and started working professionally from a young age. She went on to gain a degree in Dance from the University of Surrey and started teaching classes for her peers and set up a dance team which competed nationally where she discovered a love for teaching and choreographing.
Ruth did a professional training year at The Place, London and started training in Hip Hop and Commercial with the Urban Dance School, Staines. Ruth’s performance experience ranges from performing in QDOS pantomimes, acting at the National Theatre in London, dancing at professional basketball games, celebrity club appearances and London 2012 Olympics Opening Ceremony.
Ruth was graded ‘Outstanding’ for her PGCE in Secondary Dance education from the University of Exeter. She is passionate about teaching and building confidence in young people, has taught at six form colleges across the country and choreographed for Disneyland Paris, Move It, The National Trust, Ashmolean Museum and many theatres.
She is currently a full-time course leader for the Performing Arts – Dance pathway course at the City of Oxford College and also teaches for Sands Theatre Arts School in Wheatley.
