Kelly found her passion for dance at a very young age when she begun taking RAD ballet, ISTD modern and tap classes at a local dance school. As the years went by, Kelly started to broaden her love for dance and enjoyed learning commercial, contemporary, hiphop and lyrical amongst other styles. Kelly enjoyed performing immensely and in her spare time would often audition to work with dance company’s for upcoming performances and events.
In 2010 & 2011, Kelly had the honour of working with both Rambert Dance Company and West End dancer & choreographer Paul Allnutt on performances ‘Dance Project 4 & 5’ at the Wycombe Swan Theatre. At the age of 17, Kelly successfully auditioned for the English Youth Ballet and performed in their production of ‘Sleeping Beauty’ alongside professional guest artists from the Royal Ballet Company. She also had the honour of performing at Her Majestys Theatre London and Disneyland Paris, in addition to a variety of local theatres.
After leaving school, she went on to study at the City of Oxford College, for an Extended Diploma in Dance, successfully gaining a triple distinction*. Soon after leaving college, Kelly set her sights on running her own dance school and creating opportunities for young dancers to perform. Over a span of 7 years, Kelly choreographed and directed a variety of pieces for events around the UK, including the British Troupe Championships and Dance Make Your Move. Most recently, Kelly has choreographed, directed and lead two full length productions, comprised of a cast of 13 dancers with styles ranging from jazz, musical theatre, contemporary and commercial in order to raise money for Young Epilepsy and MIND.
Kelly is excited to be joining the MPDA team and to share her love and passion for choreography and dance with all of her students!
