About me.Marketa Levinger, a Level 3 certified yoga instructor, brings over a decade of experience to her practice. Her journey in the fitness world began as a distinguished rhythmic gymnast in the Czech Republic competing on national level and representing the country internationally at the European championship. During her university studies in Prague, she danced Contemporary Jazz at Dance 2XS company. After moving to the UK in 2015, she achieved Level 3 Hatha Yoga certification at TrainFitness in London. Today, Marketa is a renowned yoga instructor at Pure Gym Oxford and Oxford University colleges – Brasenose college and Said Business School.
Her expertise is broadened by active participation in numerous workshops across the UK and Spain. In these workshops, Marketa explored a variety of yoga styles, including somatic movement, yoga nidra, Iyengar yoga, and pranayama, demonstrating her commitment to continual growth in her field.
In addition to her prowess in yoga, Marketa is a certified mental health first aider, emphasizing her dedication to overall well-being. She has a special affinity for Iceland, which she considers her second home. Here, she regularly leads yoga workshops. In 2022, Marketa also held several yoga workshops for children in Summertown Oxford NOA centre.
Parallel to her yoga practice, Marketa holds a significant role as a Senior Coordinator at the Oxford University Said Business School. In this capacity, she oversees the organisation of Executive Education programmes, specializing in strategy, social impact finance, and leadership in healthcare. Her diverse roles reflect a deep commitment to health, education, and personal development.
Marketa also currently teaches Czech to young children at the Czech language school in Oxford. Ages 4-11 every other Saturday afternoon. She has two children age 4 and 7.
