Please see below a list of NEW classes which are starting from MON 4TH NOV! We have spaces available so your child is welcome to attend a FREE trial in any of the following:

FOR TINIES: AGE 4-7

• Saturday Tinies Funk/Hip Hop with Miss Lola: 11.15am-12pm. MPDA STUDIOS

FOR MIDS: AGE 8-11

• Saturday Mids Funk/Hip Hop with Miss Lola: 12pm-1pm. MPDA STUDIOS

FOR TEENS- 12+

• Monday Pointe/Pre pointe class with Miss April (Invite or enquire first): 5.30pm-6.30pm. MPDA STUDIOS

• Tuesday Fundamental/beginner teens tap with Miss Jess: Age 12+ Tuesdays 6.30pm-7.15pm: MPDA STUDIOS

• Saturday Teens Contemporary with Miss Alice: 3pm-4pm. She 12+ MPDA STUDIOS

NEW SQUAD CLASSES!

Miss Lola is now also offering private lesson slots every weekend! Our 1-1s are a brilliant way to focus on technique and get the specialised tuition which could supercharge your child’s progress! The cost of a lesson is just £50 for the hour at our Kidlington studios and slots are available on Sundays from 1.15pm. Email us to request a booking!

MPDA XMAS DISCO! BOOKING OPEN!

SATURDAY 7TH DEC

Venue: Bletchingdon Village Hall, Whitemarsh Way, Bletchingdon, Kidlington OX5 3FD

MPDA TINIES XMAS DISCO:  5pm-6pm: Age 7 and under:

£10 per attendee

MPDA MAIN XMAS DISCO: 6.30pm-8pm Age 8 and over:

£12 per attendee

(Please note that if a child is aged 7 or under then an adult will be required to supervise. There is no need for parents to purchase their own ticket.)

Taking place on Saturday the 7th December we will be holding two Christmas discos- now a staple MPDA tradition!  All of our MPDA students, friends and family are welcome so we hope that you can attend. Come and dance to your favourite Xmas music, dressed in your best Xmas costume- whether that be a Santa Claus, a snow queen, a cheeky elf or just a sparkly Xmas jumper! The more flamboyant the better and there will be a prize for the best dressed attendee!

SUNDAY 24TH NOVEMBER: MPDA STUDIOS

Miss Ella is an expert professional in Hip hop and commercial dance! We are very excited to welcome Miss Ella back to the studios to provide a challenging workshop for our teen dancers. Students will learn complex choreography to the latest music, focusing on commercial style, rhythm and performance. The perfect contrast to technical forms of dance such as ballet and modern. We have a few spaces still available.  For ages 12+- BOOK BELOW!

EARLY YEARS!

NEW EARLY YEARS CLASSES!

As well as our brilliant new Sunday Early years classes with Miss Lola, we will also be adding some brand new weekday additions to our timetable! We just can’t keep up with the demand- hence why we are exceedingly grateful for your custom.

The fantastic MISS KATIE- (An expert gymnastics instructor/ early years specialist), will be starting a Mini tumblers and a Baby acro class on a Thursday from after the half term! We only have a few spaces left so please don’t delay!

STARTING FROM THURSDAY 7TH NOV-

MPDA STUDIOS

2.30pm-3.15pm: Mini Tumblers (Confident walkers- age 2)

In this class, children will do a fun music based warm up before learning a new ‘skill for the week!’ The children will then be led round the equipment with a parent to experience using their bodies according to the weekly theme. There will also be 15 minutes of free play on the soft equipment!

3.15pm-4pm: Baby acro/gymnastics (Age 2-3)

Baby Gymnastics is designed to introduce your little one to the world of Gymnastics in a safe and relaxed environment. The class will allow students to use our incredible equipment with the supervision and support of our expert teachers. In this class, children will learn basic movements and shapes setting them up to be able to learn their very first gymnastic skills.

Jo is BACK with us at MPDA to provide her magical Baby massage and new Baby yoga sessions! The classes are hugely beneficial for new parents, as Jo guides attendees to bond with their babies and install healthy routines. Also an occasion to meet fellow Mums and Dads who are going through the same life-changing journey. This term, we are welcoming FREE TRIALS! An amazing bargain- so why not try it? Christmas Stay & Play event! Sunday 1st December

MPDA STUDIOS: Ages 0-4

A splendidly festive soft play event which will take place at the MPDA Studios on the 1st December! The exact way to get into the Christmas spirit, we will have our very own Santa Claus- yes, your little one will get to meet Father Christmas! As well as Santa, Elsa and Anna from Frozen will be making a magical visit to the studios! Surely a dream come true for your little one.

Not to mention Christmas arts and crafts stations, fairy lights, face paints, a bouncy castle, and our regular fantastic soft play facilities! There will also be Christmas nibbles and child friendly cocktails throughout. 

Price: £20 (Permits 1 child entry and 2 adults)

9.30am-12.30pm

(Santa will be there from 9.30am-10.30am!)

If your Child brings a friend to trial a class, you will receive an INSTANT refund for 1 session. Then, if that friend enrols for the rest of the Autumn, you will receive 25% OFF next term’s fees! (For one class). This could be a huge saving of up to £47!

LOOKING BACK ON OCTOBER

On Monday 21st October, we kicked off the Halloween celebrations early with our Soft play halloween party morning! For ages 0-4, we set up our lovely soft play facilities, alongside creepy sensory activities, fun halloween themed taster sessions and our staff were offering spooky face paints and tattoos for all attendees! We also had eerie snacks and refreshments to keep everyone satisfied throughout the morning. We were super impressed with the adorable little halloween costumes- so thank you for all of your wonderful efforts! You can see some brilliant footage of the event by clicking on the video below. We hope to see you at the Xmas stay and play extravaganza on the 1st Dec!

SQUAD EVENTS

Elite Squad and Squad A were invited to perform on the opening night of the Millets Farm Halloween trail! The teams did a whopping 6 performances across the 11th/12th Oct, where they showed off a special Halloween dance set. This was choreographed by the wonderful Miss Alice, Miss April and Miss Emily, The dancers were absolute professionals, adapting to the stage dimensions without any trouble. All the students also got to have fun exploring the halloween trail at the farm- one of the local ‘must sees’ this Halloween! Over 2000 people visit the trail each year so getting to perform at the event was great exposure for MPDA! We hope to return very soon!

CAN YOU DANCE– Is one of the biggest phenomenons in the world of dance today! So our talented Senior competition team were THRILLED to be invited to perform at the CYD Super convention! This meant that the team had to travel all the way up to Liverpool for the weekend which was  a very exciting adventure!

The team took their place on the Main stage in the Senior competition, where they performed their dance piece “Gone Girls” against 33 other fabulous dance schools. The level of skill demonstrated was out of this world, and our girls all did an amazing job. As usual, they did MPDA proud  and we are looking forward to our next competition appearance. The Junior competition team will also be starting their classes after the half term, so this means we will have double the talent to showcase from now on!

HALLOWEEN DRESS UP WEEK!

WOW! We had some spectacular costumes on display over our Halloween dress up week! All students were invited to dress up in their best spooky outfits for their dance class- so we saw ghosts, ghouls, witches, black cats, ‘Fearleaders’, zombies, clowns, and plenty more! Huge congratulations to those who won prizes for the best dressed! Remember, there are also prizes to be won at our Xmas disco for the best dressed, so time to put those halloween outfits away, and get prepared for Elves, Santas and all things festive!

Another term, another set of RAD exams! Miss Emma helped prep our Pre-primary, Grade 3 and Grade 4 students for their latest RAD exams. The girls all did a wonderful job and we have no doubt that they’ll get some brilliant results. We also have our first set of ISTD modern exams coming up in December which is very exciting!
