Dear Parents and Customers. Our Summer term is well underway! Please find below the most recent MPDA news, including some information about what to expect over the coming weeks.

Easter Camps!

Our Easter camps were a great success, and the students had a fun filled week of dancing in multiple styles including jazz, ballet, tap, lyrical, hip hop, acro and yoga!

Our tinies camp for ages 3-6 ran daily until 12.30pm and the Children had a great time dancing, playing games and doing Easter crafts.

The end of the week was marked with a performance in front of an audience of friends and family, who were incredibly impressed with what had been achieved over the week.

SUMMER CAMPS 2022……

This year we are mixing things up a bit throughout the month of August!

One week will be dedicated solely to squad/advanced dancers.
2 of the weeks in August will be our standard dance camps for all MPDA + Non MPDA attendees. This includes the tinies camp and main camps.
Plus one week we will be holding a stage school camp! Dancing, singing and acting with a focus on creating a show.Details of all the above will be circulated soon so please keep an eye on your inbox!

MPDA MOVIE NIGHT!

Get the popcorn ready, sit back, relax and watch a movie with all of your dancing friends!

We have teamed up with a fantastic events company to host our first cinema night. ‘Happy Feet’ and ‘Hairspray’ will be projected on to our supersized screen. It’s sure to be a lot of fun and we’d love for you to join us. The ticket also includes movie snacks and a drink.

MPDA COMPETITION TEAM!

AUDITIONS SUNDAY 5TH JUNE: TIME TBC

To run in addition to our Squad teams, we are giving all MPDA students the chance to be part of our brand new competition team! Miss April will be running the group who will compete up and down the country. Suitable for those who want to progress in the dance industry and enhance their performance skills to an elite level. More details to be announced soon.

Our brand new uniform and merchandise purchased via our website, or at our shop at the rear of our Kidlington venue.

Students are required to wear MPDA uniform when attending classes. (Or plain black dance wear). We offer a range of leotards, shorts, leggings and warm up attire for boys and girls of all ages.

SINGING LESSONS

Miss Portia- Star of the West end is now offering singing lessons on a Thursday evening!

You can book in for a 30 minute slot between 5pm-7pm. A 1-1 session is just £20. EMAIL the office to book today.

Stage school: End of term performances

Family and friends were invited to watch a mini performance in our Stage school classes on Saturday 9th April! We intend to have a watching week at the end of this Summer term.

PLUS, news about our next stage production at the end of this year will be revealed soon!

New Stretch + Conditioning classes

Miss April is now offering stretch/strengthening classes every Wednesday from 5pm-5.45pm. For ages 10+, these sessions are pay as you go meaning you can book your Child in as and when. There is no need to commit to an entire term so we’d love for your child to drop in! Just head to the booking site, select the 5pm Wednesday class and pay for the individual session.
