Baby massage sessions!

The wonderful Jo offers her delightful Baby massage sessions on a Monday at MPDA.  If you have a little baby who is 6 weeks-sitting age, then why not give this magical session a try? It’s a wonderful bonding experience which helps develop techniques to settle your baby and promote a sense of routine and wellbeing into the busy world of being a parent. Any newbies will also get a luxurious free hamper with goodies and a massage oil, plus a free Early years T-shirt worth £11!

Plus exciting news- Jo will soon be starting BABY YOGA on a Friday morning! The perfect opportunity to keep fit and reconnect with your own body. Aside from gentle stretching,  Jo will create an atmosphere with calm music or fun memorable rhymes during the session to help soothe and engage your baby. Baby Yoga has been proved to be a safe and beneficial class to introduce at this young age. Plus you’ll get a free welcome pack!

FRIDAYS: 11AM-11.45AM: BABY YOGA! Due to start after the Half term break.

We are so excited to add an extra Baby ballet class due to every other baby ballet class on our timetable being at full capacity! We’d be delighted to welcome your child to attend a free trial in this session, although we have very  limited spaces. Therefore, please express your interest promptly to avoid disappointment!

Looking back on April!

Easter Camps 2024!

Over the Easter holidays, we held 2 weeks of Easter Camp at our Kidlington site and we also hosted our first ever dance camp in Abingdon! All those students who attended across the weeks had the time of their lives and it’s safe to say that many happy memories were made.

The dance camp weeks were jam packed with classes in multiple styles such as modern, lyrical. tap, ballet, hip hop, and this was accompanied by creative choreography sessions and experimenting with props! The tinies camps for ages 3-7 also did lots of fun arts and crafts activities amongst their dancing, and the students loved making new friends and playing during breaks.

Our second week at Kidlington was our Musical Theatre Stage camp week- an extravaganza of dance, singing and acting! Perfect for those who dream of being in West End Musicals! We staged.a production of Charlie and the Chocolate factory, fit with costumes , a script and exciting choreography.

The camps reached their grand finale in the form of a performance for friends and family. What a proud moment for loved ones to see what had been achieved at the end of a jam packed week. We can’t wait to do it ALL AGAIN in Summer!

ULTIMATE VICTORY DANCE CHAMPIONSHIPS!

Our comp team have done it again! Despite an incredibly high standard at the Ultimate Victory Championships, we achieved some wonderful results! Not only this, but we have been blown away by the professionalism, team spirit and enthusiasm of all our competition dancers. They are such a credit to MPDA and Miss April couldn’t be more proud. Special mention to Guilia who was awarded a scholarship at the prestigious BASE studios Summer camp! What an achievement!

BRING ON THE NEXT COMP!

On Sunday 21st April, we held our first ever MINI RAVE Early years event! It was an absolute blast. Miss Emily and Miss April joined our wonderful early years parents with their little ones at the studios, which were transformed into a daytime disco! Fit with UV light props, music and sensory toys, our little ones had a great boogie, laughing, smiling and dancing the morning away. We love our early years events and we cannot wait for the next one!  Details will soon be announced about our June stay and play event!

Congratulations Poppy!

We are incredibly proud of MPDA pupil Poppy, who has successful ly auditioned for the Ballet Boost program which takes place at the Rambert Ballet school! Poppy loved the audition experience and is thrilled to be offered a place on the associate scheme which takes place twice a month.. We can’t wait to hear all about it, and no doubt it will be a wonderful, enriching experience!

Here at MPDA we strive to support local businesses and we know first hand how tough the current climate can be. Therefore, we want to help other companies as much as we can- and that means YOU!

Every month, if you own a small business, you can have the chance to get a spot in a newsletter for FREE! This newsletter goes out to hundreds of customers which is great exposure.

All you have do to is submit your business details (e.g.- name/ webpage/ contact details) to us via email, by the 20th of each month. We will then pick an entry at random as part of a prize draw. We also would love for businesses to appear in our Summer show program! This is great exposure for you so please do get in touch if you’d like to find out more.
