Tap is an essential part to any dancer repertoire. Not only is it included on many west end shows but it also helps improve your rhythm, musicality and timing. We offer a combined ballet and tap class for our tinies group which introduces the exciting style. We also offer a mids Ballet and tap class which progresses into more difficult combinations. Our teens tap class focuses on complex rhythms and develops on the skills already learnt.

Our Tinies Tap class will allow your child to explore the genre, bringing out their inner musician. They will learn about the different parts of the shoe and how to use their feet as their instrument, while also exploring rhythm games and co-ordination exercises. They will learn basic routines to music they love as well as have the chance to create their own rhythms in guided improvisation exercises.
The atmosphere is fun and relaxed with the main aim to allow children to learn the basics while also having fun. Tap dancing is beneficial to children in many ways as it teaches rhythm and musicality, skills that they can carry into their other dance classes. Our Mids Tap class will allow your child to expand their skills and learn more complex steps. They will learn about musical phrasing and rhythm in more details and gain skills needed to take their tap training further. The class will consist of a warm up as well as technical exercises, improvisation tasks and fun routines to their favourite songs. The atmosphere is fun and relaxed and welcomes those with experience as well as total beginners.
Our expert teacher will be able to adapt work to suit your child’s individual needs. Tap dancing is beneficial to children in many ways as it teaches rhythm and musicality, skills that they can carry into their other dance classes. The class is an excellent way to prepare your child to be versatile, musical and confident on their journey as a young dancer. Our Teens Tap class builds on students’ knowledge and provides them with the opportunity to perfect the basics as well as learn more advanced steps. The class consists of a warm up, followed by a series of technical drills and exercises as well as rhythm and layering exercises. Students will also learn choreography is a range of styles from classic musical theatre tap to the more modern American styles.
The class is suitable for those with plenty of experience as well as beginners as our expert teacher can adapt work to suit each student’s level, ensuring that every student gets the most out of the class. Tap is an excellent skill to learn and will allow students to become more rhythmical, confident and versatile as dancers. Our class will help students to become more confident performers as well as provide them with the skills needed to be creative with their improvisation. Our adult tap is designed for all ages and abilities whether you have tapped a little, tapped a while ago and feel like getting into it again or are a total beginner! Our expert teacher can easily adapt work to suit your needs and ensure you get the most out of the class. As a versatile dance genre, we will be focusing more on the American style of Tap, keeping it relaxed and stylised while dancing to an array of music, ranging from musical theatre to pop, jazz and swing. Both technique and choreography will both be covered in each class while still maintaining a fun and relaxed atmosphere.
