Our Squads
performWe have five dance squads ranging from the Tinies squad for ages 4+ to the Elite squad made up of our most skilled and dedicated dancers. The squad classes are invite only and allow students to work in a more focused environment working towards more advanced technique.
We now also have an acrobatics squad run by Miss Katie and a singing squad run by Miss Katelyn.
Students represent the school at external events and perform across Oxfordshire and beyond. Squad students must attend their squad class, an additional technique class and squad ballet.

Squad Rules
Squad rules- Squad students and families are asked to endeavour to maintain 100% attendance (not including absences for illness or emergency) to all MPDA classes. This includes not taking holidays during term time and letting us know in advance of any absences that cannot be avoided.
- Squad students must come to class on time, in uniform and with long hair in a neat bun
- Squad students to put their classes and events with MPDA above any other extracurricular activity. School events must of course take priority, but we ask that parents let us know as soon as they have any dates that may conflict with MPDA dance classes.
- In class squad students must be kind and encouraging to their peers.
- At external events students must be sensible and polite to all staff members and other dance schools should we encounter them.
- Squad students are looked up to by other members of the school so they must ensure that they are kind, hardworking and polite at all times.
- Communication is crucial and should your child need to miss class or an event you must email Miss Emily at emily@mpdance.co.uk beforehand.
Squad Uniform
Squad Class:
- Squad T-shirt
- Black shorts or leggings
- Girls may wear a thin strapped black leotard under their Squad T-Shirt
- Bare feet, foot thongs or nude jazz shoes
Squad Ballet:
- Girls: Black thin strapped leotard, pink ballet tights and leather ballet shoes. Red or black wrap skirt optional. Hair in ballet bun.
- Boys: Black MPDA Vest + black shorts or ballet leggings + black ballet shoes. Long hair tied back.
Event/Performance uniform:
- Squad T-Shirt
- MPDA Squad Joggers
- MPDA Squad Jacket
- Nude jazz shoes
