Watch your Child shine on stage in December!

You will all have received the emails about our Christmas shows which will take place at the Old Fire Station Theatre on the 17th and 18th of December. Our last showcase at the Oxford Playhouse pre-pandemic seems like a lifetime ago, so we cannot wait to display the talent here at MPDA. Much more information will be provided over the coming months.

MPDA STUDIOS

Starting from Monday 1st August, try our brand new Adult contemporary class- Just £5 for the first session! The classes will run at 8.30pm on a Monday thereafter every week. Why not give it a try? Our wonderful new teacher Chloe hopes to see you there.

Conscious breath work and movement workshop

8TH AUGUST 6pm-7pm (Age 16+)

Who doesn’t wish they could be more ZEN? It’s so important to take some time out from the daily grind. This workshop with Sam is the perfect opportunity to help release anxiety and stress. Quieten your mind and tune into your body with guided movement and a focus on the breath. Finish off with a peaceful guided breath relaxation. Not one to miss. Held at MPDA studios.

BALLROOM TASTER CLASSES

Our brand new Ballroom and latin teacher Miss Elena has already provided a fantastic class for our teens to try. Elena will be teaching teens Ballroom and latin from September every Saturday.

Now it’s time for OUR ADULTS to give it a try! For just £5 you can attend Elena’s exciting taster class before the new term starts.

Saturday 27th August

ADULT Ballroom taster class

-No previous experience necessary.

-No need to bring a partner. (Although you can!)

-ONLY £5. Adult Ballroom/latin classes will then run on a weekly basis every Saturday from 5.30pm-6.30pm.

Summer fete success!

On one of the hottest days of the year, our Summer fete was held at our Kidlington studios! Thanks so much to all of those who came and for those of you who volunteered to help out. The day was filled with make up art, some fantastic squad performances, games, competitions and even a wonderful sound bath experience with Sam!

Best of all, we raised some very important funds for our Christmas shows- So thank you very much!

We are so proud of our squad teams who have been dedicating their weekends to some brilliant events all over Oxford. For example….

• Westgate performance in front of hundreds of Oxford shoppers!

• Starring at the Bicester festival.

• Performing routines at the

  Chawley Grove Care home. (Where Miss Sam has been working with dementia patients, exploring gentle movement.)

Rehearsals have also been underway for DISNEYLAND PARIS 2023! Our squad teams will have a once in a lifetime opportunity to perform at the magical Disneyland. It’s sure to be a fantastic trip.

RAD BALLET EXAMS

Over the month of July, our beautiful MPDA ballerinas took their first RAD Ballet exams! What an achievement and we have no doubt that they will attain some wonderful results. Thank you to Miss Emma made sure that the students were fully prepared. Miss Emma would love to welcome your Child to give her Sunday ballet classes a try in September. Students then have the opportunity to take exams with this world class federation!

A FEW AUTUMN TERM CHANGES

Although most of our timetable will remain the same, please take note of the following changes:

MONDAYS

• 2 x tinies ballet classes. Now with Miss Chloe at either 4pm or 4.45pm.

• Mids Ballet now with Miss Chloe from 5.30pm-6.30pm.

• Teen CONTEMPORARY with Mr Reece. 5pm-6pm. (Brand new) instead of previous teen Hip Hop.

TUESDAYS

• From September Adult Irish dancing will be held at the later time of 7.15pm-8.15pm.

FRIDAYS

• Teen modern with Miss Portia will be at the later time of 6.30pm-7.30pm.

TEENS STAGE SCHOOL LAUNCH!

STARTING FROM SEPTEMBER 9TH:

Fridays 5pm-6.30pm: Ages 12+

Dancing, singing and acting with West end experienced teachers- Mr Tom and Miss Portia.
