ADVANCED WORKSHOP CLASSES

Across our Advanced camp week, we will be offering 3 fantastic specialist workshops for teens age 12+! Learn impressive stunts used for TV and film with Marvin, experience a ballet rep workshop with Ex Royal Ballet professional Theo, and get your groove on in an advanced commercial workshop with Keema!  Whilst these workshops are included for those who have booked a camp space, we will ALSO be offering non-camp students  the chance attend just the workshops at the cost of only £15 per session!

NEW BICESTER DANCE CLASSES!

We are so excited to announce that we have brand new classes starting in Bicester on a Thursday! Miss Kelly will be offering Funk/Hip-hop for all ages as well as baby ballet. Please see the details below:

STARTING THURSDAY 5TH SEPT

Venue: St Edburg’s CE Primary School, Pioneer Way, Bicester OX26 1BF

3.45pm-4.15pm: Baby Ballet (Age 2-3)

4.15pm-5pm: Tinies Hip Hop (Age 4-7)

5pm-6pm: Mids Hip Hop (Age 8-11)

6pm-7pm: Teens Hip Hop (Age 12+)

2ND CHANCE: COMP TEAM AUDITIONS!

Does your child have what it takes to be part of our Elite competition team? We are holding auditions for our 2024-2025 squad at MPDA Studios on Friday 30th August. We already had a successful audition round in July, but we are holding a second date for those who couldn’t make it.

This year, as well as a senior team for ages 13+, we will now be introducing a JUNIOR team for age 9 and over!

JUNIOR TEAM AUDITION: 3.30pm-4.30pm

SENIOR TEAM AUDITION: 4.30pm-5.30pm

Cost: August Late Entry fee: £10

Singing Lessons

Miss Katelyn will be offering some singing lessons during the Summer holidays! She will be scheduling 30 minute lessons on the 21st August at the MPDA studios. We’d love for your child to join us and give singing a try. A 30 minute session is £20 and there are available time slots between 5pm-7pm on Wednesday 21st. We are incredibly excited to announce that Ex-MPDA studio ambassador Miss Lola will be running new Early years classes in the Autumn term! Starting in September, we will be adding a Sunday morning early years program to accommodate high demand. EMAIL THE OFFICE to book a free trial in any of the below:

GLASTONBABES- EARLY YEARS EVENT!

Come join us for our next exciting early years event- Glastonbabes! Inspired by the great british festival season, your little ones can enjoy a super fun filled morning including;

LOOKING BACK ON JULY!

10th YEAR ANNIVERSARY SHOW!

Across the weekend of the 13th and 14th July, our students performed in the 10th Year Anniversary Showcase! Over three shows, hundreds of dancers took to the stage to display their dancing in all styles. I’m sure the audience members will agree that there was a huge amount of talent on display, and we were SO proud of every student who participated! Creating a show on this scale is a huge undertaking, but with much planning, perseverance, rehearsal, and support from you as our customers, the hard work was all worth it! Not even the unexpected power cut across Abingdon, nor the Euro football final held us back!

Thank you again to all of those who purchased tickets and showed your support. The final show was rounded off with an emotional awards ceremony, in which the team presented special prizes to some students who had achieved accolades. It’s an experience we will cherish for years to come!

RAD EXAMS!

Miss Emma prepped some of our lovely RAD Ballet students for their exams last month! RAD examinations are a brilliant experience where a dancer gets to display their work in front of an examiner. The children then receive a certificate and medal before moving on the the next grade- a great way to acknowledge progression! Miss Emma was incredibly proud of all of the entries and we have no doubt that when the results come in- we’ll be even more proud! Well done girls!

Our Squad team have been very busy in between all of the show prep! Our A, B and Elite squads performed at one of the biggest dance events in Oxford- ‘Dancing Oxford’, where the students took the main stage at the Westgate shopping centre! Hundreds of passers by and supporters watched our dancers in action and it was a great day had by all. It also gave the teams a good dress run before the show! Over the last weekend of the term, all squad teams performed more locally at The Kidlington Gala. We are always very grateful to be invited to such events, spreading dance throughout the Oxford communities. Well done teams!
