Dear Parents & Customers.

As the Spring term is coming to an end, please take a moment to read all of our latest news! Reflecting on all of the exciting events over the past 12 weeks, plus all the updates you will need for the approaching Summer term.

Spring Workshops!

Not only have we been holding our regular weekly lessons, but we have hosted a variety of exciting events! Firstly our Mother and Baby/Pregnancy yoga classes with Hannah were such a hit that we have added the sessions to our regular timetable. Pregnancy Yoga now has a slot at 11am on a Sunday.

Gymnastic Champion Mr Alex held a fantastic acro workshop at our Kidlington site. We are delighted to have Alex on the team, and he now teaches Acro/gymnastics for MPDA at Bicester on a Friday. The enrolment for these classes has been overwhelming. So much so, that we had to schedule an additional class to meet demand!

We also held our Bhangra workshop which was thoroughly enjoyed by all. The workshops will be held one-two times a month so please keep an eye on the timetable for the next scheduled event. In keeping with our exploration of multiple dance styles, the lovely Ashleigh hosted our Irish dance workshop just in time for St Patrick’s Day.

MPDA also put on their first adult event. And what is better than working up a sweat in Barre class? Treating yourself to a brunch after! Our attendees were spoilt with lots of Vegan goodies provided by Psoul. Plus, all who came to the Barre and Brunch morning were gifted with a goody bag worth £80!

Members of our MPDA Squad teams have been very busy performing at some large scale events! On the 5th March, our dancers took the stage in front of 100s of shoppers at the Westgate in central Oxford. We were so pleased to be able to finally dance at the event which had been rescheduled due to Covid. We then performed on the main stage at the Manchester Chance2Dance exhibition! It was worth the early start and very long coach journey to the event. The girls had a fantastic day, as did we! (Click link above to see them shine!)

EASTER CAMPS!

Booking closes TODAY! 1st April.

We have a few spaces remaining across our tinies camp (Age 3-6) and our main camp (7+) on both weeks. Each camp runs for 4 days and includes multiple dance styles, acro sessions, games, plenty of fun plus a performance for Parents at the end of the week!

ADULT Beginner/Inter jazz with Reece. Sundays 1pm-2pm.
ADULT Salsa/latin with Reece. Sundays 2pm-3pm.
ADULT Early risers: Legs, Bums, Core. Tuesdays 6.45am-7.30am.
ADULT Legs, Bums and Core: Thursdays 7.15pm-8pm.
ADULT Inter Jazz with April: Tuesdays 5.30pm-6.30pm
ADULT Beginner Hip Hop with April: Tuesdays 6.30pm-7.30pm

SUMMER TERM: Booking opens 8th April.

To secure your Child’s space in their class/classes next term, you MUST book via our website. Booking opens on the 8th of April. Places are first come first served so please do not delay!

Booking is based on purchasing the whole term.
All Parents will be emailed next week with exact instructions on how to navigate the booking.
You will be responsible for logging into your account and adding the classes to your basket. Attendance this term does not automatically save a Child’s spot for the Summer term!

Due to the rise in inflation, we have made the hard decision to slightly raise our prices next term. We haven’t increased our fees for 5 years, and with the new venue/current cost of living, we hope that you understand the necessity. Baby Classes will remain the same cost. Children’s fees will rise by £1 per class. Adult fees will rise by £2 per class. (Packages are available to provide great discounts. Email to follow soon).

Shop Opening times:

Mon 4-6pm/ Tues 4-6pm/ Weds 5-7pm/ Thurs 3-5pm/ Fri 4-6pm/ Sat 2-4pm

Our brand new uniform and merchandise can be purchased via our website, or at our shop at the rear of our Kidlington venue.

Students are required to wear MPDA uniform when attending classes. We offer a range of leotards, shorts, leggings and warm up attire for boys and girls of all ages.

(Alternatively, plain black dancewear can be worn in the interim. Please can long hair be tied back. Tidy dancers are happy dancers!
