We now have classes running on a Monday in Abingdon! The lovely Miss Sophie teaches a range of sessions at the new location, and we are so excited to have these in addition to our Friday Abingdon sessions with Miss Emily.

ISTD MODERN CLASSES HAVE STARTED!

Miss Sophie has now also been running our brilliant Friday ISTD modern classes! The sessions have been thoroughly enjoyed by all and we’ve been so pleased with the level of interest.

Attending an ISTD session will allow your child to take modern exams and progress through the grades with this prestigious federation. We are thrilled to finally be able to offer this at MPDA.

ISTD modern is a world renowned dance syllabus which will provide the very BEST training for your child. So why not book in for a FREE trial in one of the following for after Easter?

Hopefully you have completed the Summer show participation form as the deadline was Thursday 29th March. If you HAVEN’T yet informed us whether your child is taking part, we have slightly extended the form entry date to give you the chance to let us know! Please follow the link below. TODDLER RAVE!

EARLY YEARS MINI RAVE!!!

Ages- Confident walkers-Age 3

Join us for this unique, highly exciting Early Years event, which is sure to get your little ones bursting with joy! We will deck out the MPDA studios with lights, creative props, glow in the dark activities, and toe tapping music! Your child will be captivated by all of the sensory elements and it will be a great opportunity to release some toddler energy! So come and bond with fellow parents and have a funky morning to remember!

£10.50 per child- Adults go free!

Extra Baby massage sessions!

Starting after Easter, the wonderful Jo will be offering 2 Baby massage classes to choose from! If you have a little baby who is 6 weeks-sitting age, then why not give this magical session a try? It’s a magical bonding experience which helps develop techniques to settle baby, and promote a sense of routine and wellbeing into the busy world of being a Parent. Any newbies will also get a luxurious free hamper with goodies and a massage oil, plus a free Early years T-shirt worth £11!

Looking back on March!

A Mother’s day to remember……..

We hosted not one, but two Mother’s day events here at the MPDA studios! We wanted to recognise all of those Super Mums out there, and thank you to those who came along to either our Mother & Child Dance Day, or our ‘Guess how much I Love you’ picnic!

The Mother/Child dance session was held on a Saturday afternoon, and Miss Jasmine put on a brilliant dance class- even bringing her own Mum along to demonstrate! Parents got to see what their child had been up to in their normal dance classes  whilst also getting to boogie around and learn some technical dance steps themselves. There were some heartwarming duets to see and we hope that all the Mums and children who attended can recreate these magical moments either at home or perhaps at future family events!

We also had our heartwarming ‘Guess how much I love you’ Mummy bear’s picnic’ for our Early years attendees! The studios were transformed into a comfortable picnic set up, ready for our Mums and little ones. Miss Emily shared this well known storybook with the children and some interactive sensory play was enjoyed by all. There were also some yummy treats kindly provided by ‘Barefoot bakery’ and a personalised card was created to help keep the memories alive.

Thank you to the students and parents who helped us out with our St Patrick’s Day bake sale! We hope that those who purchased some of the bakes enjoyed the tasty treats and it helped us raise some funds to go towards future MPDA events. Thank you so much- and also to those who came to class sporting some green attire!

SUPREME DANCE COMP SUCCESS!!!

Once again, our MPDA Competition team have done us PROUD! Miss April escorted our team of dancers to the Surrey Supreme Dance competition across the weekend of the 23rd/24th March, where the girls had a VERY busy weekend! They all performed absolutely beautifully, and we never underestimate how tough that can be when faced with such stiff competition from all around the UK. We achieved some amazing results- testament to the teams’ hard work!

PARKING REMINDER

Please could Parents kindly refrain from parking in No.29-31 Banbury Road car park. We have received a note from residents there that their parking spaces are being taken by customers who drop off their children for dance. Please instead use the free parking on Benmead road or other free parking options nearby (Tesco Car park for instance). Thank you in advance!
